I will post a review after I have used them for a prolonged time. I’ve only ridden 500km/311mi with the tubeless tires, most of it on the grey stuff. They absolutely hold their pressure. Noticed a 0.1 psi drop on the rear tire in 2 weeks. Front is still on same pressure. My 1290 SAR had the same kind of band on the rim.

You can also use 2 coats of goop just in case. If you should have a spoke nipple leaking, rotate the tire so the leaking nipple is on the bottom, let it stay there until the Green Slime puddles in the bottom of the tire, then rotate the tire 180 degrees quickly and the goop will fall from the tire onto the rim and nipple.

The base model Ténéré 700 has a 43mm upside-down KYB fork with 210mm of travel. On the base model, you can adjust compression and rebound damping, but not spring preload. But the Ténéré 700 World Raid has a further upgraded front fork. It’s still a 43mm upside-down KYB fork, but it now has 230mm (20mm more) of travel.

Dec 12, 2022. #2. IMHO, I think tubeless is overkill for a Himalayan. The main advantage of tubeless aside from being lighter, is one can run a proper TPS system built into the valve stem. If you wanted tubeless, you'd pretty much have to find a tubeless wheel hoop and get that laced onto a Himalayan hub.

The Yamaha Tenere 700 is about as close as perfect as it gets, for me at least. The base price for the bike is unbelievable; a hair under $10k gets you one amazing bike. If you are an ADVer who leans towards the street with the occasional fire road and 2-track, then this is an amazing buy and a quality bike.
